1. All hire agreements will be for the use of a specified 'hire area' for a specified 'hire period', neither of which may be subsequently varied by the hirer without the express agreement of the Trust.
2. No organisation shall be excluded solely on the grounds of race, ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation.
3. All hirers whose activities involve children or vulnerable adults are required by the Trust to have a Child Protection Policy (CPP) in place, and are required to have completed CRB checks in respect of all 'supervising adults.
4. The Trust reserves the right to refuse a hire (or to terminate a series of hires) if in its opinion such hire would cause, or would be likely to cause, offence or disruption to the general public or to other hirers of the premises.
5. All hirers are expected to behave in a manner so as not to cause a nuisance or disturbance to other hirers or to persons living in neighbouring houses.
6. All hirers shall be responsible for tidying and cleaning the hire area and the communal areas after each hire period.
7. The Trust may, at its discretion, require the payment of a deposit by the hirer, such deposit being held by the Trust against damage or non-payment by the hirer. However, the Trust reserves the right (regardless of whether or not a deposit is held) to seek full recompense for any damage caused by the hirer (or its members or those associated with it), and for any non-payment of monies due.
8. Any organisation wishing to hire the Performance Space must be able to show that it has the technical ability to operate the technical facilities therein, and the Trust shall be the sole judge of this. Those organisations who cannot show this will be directed by the Trust to possible sources of assistance and expertise.
9. Any organisation hiring the Performance Space and/or the Foyer area in connection with a public performance must abide by the procedures and requirements specified in the venue Front-of-House Manual in force at the time of the event.
10. No changes to the Performance Space seating or step layout are permitted without the express agreement of the Trust, and no seats may be removed (either to storage or for use in rehearsal rooms or other areas) without that express agreement. All shows must be sold with unreserved seating. If any changes to the layout are permitted, the hirer must return the Performance Space to its standard layout at the end of their hire period.
11. Any organisation hiring the Performance Space must avoid damage to the stage area; In particular, the fixing of set pieces by screw or nail into either the floor or the walls is specifically prohibited. Any 'spill' onto floor or walls caused when painting scenery must also be made good. Carpeting must be protected from paint spill at all times.
12. Any portable mains-voltage electrical equipment used in the Performance Space, or elsewhere in the building for public events, must have a valid Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certificate or label. The Trust may be able to assist in testing small numbers of items on an occasional basis.
13. No hirer shall be permitted to store items in the premises unless the express permission of the Trust has been obtained in advance and which shall only be given in respect of:

15. Small items capable of being stored so as not to cause nuisance to other users.
16. Any items brought onto the premises by the hirer (including, but not restricted to, theatre show settings and associated construction materials) must be removed from the premises within 48 hours of the end of the show or hire period. Failure to do so may result in the Trust hiring contractors to remove the items for disposal, the full cost of which will be billed to the hirer.
17. No hirer may make any changes or additions to the structure of, or installed services within, the building without the written agreement of the Trust. This includes (but is not restricted to) any changes or additions to the installed electrical supplies, additional structural support points for theatre scenery, and like modifications or additions.

20. Unless a hirer has been given 'credit facilities' by the Trust in writing, payment in full for all hires must accompany all Booking Forms along with any deposit payable.
21. For those hirers given 'credit facilities' payment shall be due in full within 7 days of date of invoice. For hires consisting of multiple sessions spread over a period of time, the Trust reserves the right to invoice for payment in stages.
22 Every effort will be made by the Trust to ensure as far as possible the use of the same area by the hirer during any given hire period (e.g. during rehearsals for a particular production or during a particular training course), provided that the hire periods are notified at the time of booking. However, hirers shall not have any absolute right to the use of any specific area of the premises, and no guarantee can be given that the same area can be allocated for 'extra' rehearsals or sessions booked at a later date.
23. No hirer shall be permitted to exchange hire areas or periods with another organisation without the consent of the Trust.
24. Credit for or refund of hire charges paid for unused hire periods shall be at the discretion of the Trust.
25. All complaints about the premises and/or other hirers shall be made in writing to the Trust, who shall deal with the complaint in such way as they see fit.

In the event that the Trust considers that the expulsion of a hirer or the refusal of any further requests for hire from a particular hirer may be necessary the Trust shall first invite the hirer (or the Officers of the hirer if an organisation) to meet to discuss the possible sanction. The Trust may invite other hirers to participate in such discussions.
