Home	Music Project @Madcap Calling all young people aged 14-19 with an interest in music, whatever your ability or experience, whether you sing, play, DJ or are into promotion or music technology. Meet like minded individuals, write, record and perform, learn some technical skills and enjoy yourself! Every Tuesday 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Every Sunday 12:00 pm to 6:00pm Music Workshops We can provide workshops including: Song writing Music production using digital audio workstations Sound recording DJ skills Playing in a popular music ensemble Possible outcomes are a CD of recordings made in the studio or a DVD showing the creative process and a final performance. Recording Facilities Set in the theatre basement, Madcap Studio has a medium sized live room separated from the control room with a large window between allowing excellent communication between rooms. We can offer 24bit multitrack digital recording using a Mackie Onyx sound desk and a range of microphones by Neumann, AKG and Shure. We can also offer DAW programming facilities and Technics turntables for DJ's, producers and remixers. Prices include one of our friendly technical experts to ensure the best use of your studio time. Work Experience We have had a lot of young people who are interested in the music industry looking for some experience and who have taken part in recording sessions and performances through the music project. This is a tradition we aim to maintain and will continue to support young people as much as possible.
