During this time she developed her interest in directing for both the theatre and broadcast media. She trained as an actress at the Drama Studio, London, and worked on the London fringe before joining the BBC in 1989 as a producer and director for the BBC Open University Production Centre and subsequently BBC Education in London. She is a member of the Directors Guild of Great Britain and Equity. Rosemary still very much enjoys teaching and is a tutor for Adult Continuing Education in Film Studies and Performing Arts. At Madcap she directs the Pepper's Ghost Theatre Company running drama workshops for the 16+ age group every Monday evening and staging regular performances. She has also recently launched a professional theatre company in Milton Keynes - The Play's The Thing.
